Something I am always talking about is the humanisation of marketing – keeping it personal, putting the unique creature that is you out there and simply being yourself.
Out of this comes what I already see as a movement. Yes, it’s even bigger than a trend…
And it takes that personalisation to whole new levels by narrowing rather than trying to get bigger and bigger.
What do I mean by that?
Quite simply that people are gravitating towards programs and groups that may be small in size but are tailored specifically to them and their needs.
Note that I did not say these were small in cost – quite often these are the most premium offerings out there and that’s because they tend to be high touch masterminds and the like.
Now, you don’t have to start a mastermind (although it’s a great idea) but what I want you to take away from here today is the belief that small can be not only beautiful but lucrative in so many areas.
Take one simple example – this past week I created a new limited edition PLR package, something I used to do long ago and decided to start doing again because I perceived both a need and a desire for it.
I have always known that limited edition content is invaluable simply because of its rarity. Yes, it might not bring in the big moolah of a massive launch but it’s something I can create and put out there that really helps people at a very modest cost.
You can do the same in all kinds of ways. You can stop moaning about your tiny list, for example, and instead start giving them invaluable stuff that they love. In turn, they will love you for it and both your list and its engagement will grow.
Here are some great ideas on how to make moolah from a tiny list:

I mentioned mastermind groups earlier so let’s look at those now. Essentially, these are a form of coaching and simply calling it a ‘mastermind’ confers it with premium status.
Here are some steps to follow to set one up although there are plenty of ways to do so. You can simply run a mastermind via a Facebook group, on Zoom or even on Voxer or WhatsApp:

Of course, you may be telling yourself you couldn’t possibly run a mastermind group as you read this because, well, you’re not a master of anything…
That’s the same kind of thinking that stops you creating a product or a course or even so much as writing a blog post.
You have to start somewhere and I am advocating you start small because it is less scary and yet can be way more profitable…
Plus I see a lot of those big dog gooroo types doing it.
When it comes to creating exclusivity with digital products, you have to think strategically. It’s no good saying you only have a limited quantity of your standard course when everyone knows that it’s digital and therefore virtually unlimited.
The exclusivity – and therefore desirability – comes when you build in those limited numbers.
With my new White Label package, I set the software to sell a limit of 50 licenses. After that, it’s sold out and therefore has a much higher value than standard DFY content which can be sold to thousands of people, all of whom are then competing with one another.
You could do the same by creating limited edition content or image packages. You could create a course which involves monthly calls or weekly email or small group coaching on Facebook and is therefore limited to the numbers you can handle.
For that, you obviously charge more than you would a standard downloadable course with no high touch interaction.
The beauty of it is that people prefer something which is limited and therefore rarer and they love the increased contact and interaction which comes from small group scenarios.
If that idea grabs you, here’s an excellent tutorial to follow to set up a group coaching program:
