I’m just back from walking down a steep, winding path to an old mill set by a river in the valley below. Sounds idyllic? It is.

But I couldn’t help thinking of the young girls and boys, many of them orphans, who had to walk down that hill in the early morning to work in the mill back in Victorian times, trudging back up after a long day in the dark and cold of winter to a meagre meal of thin stew.

These days, we’re so lucky. We don’t have to leave the comfort of our living rooms to earn a decent living.

And another thought that came to me on my walk was to show you ways and places you might not have thought of where you can sell your stuff or your services to do just that.

Let’s start with ConvertKit. You might think of it as just an autoresponder (and a good one with a great basic plan that won’t cost you a bean)…

But it’s also a place where you can throw up a simple page using its templates and get selling. How? Find out here:

They also have some great advice on creating and selling digital products here:

If it’s physical stuff you want to sell, Bonanza has been voted the best stie over Amazon, Ebay and Etsy – not least because you only pay fees if you make a sale:

https://www.bonanza.com/

VarageSale is another site with no fees and it’s safer than many because it requires people to provide a verified FB profile before they can list anything:

Sellfy is an excellent platform for both digital and physical products, especially if you’re a beginner, and they offer a 14 day trial.

Then there’s Podia where you can get started for absolutely nada and even build a site to sell your stuff:
