Know what I hate?

Mediocrity.

And there’s a lot of it about.

Along with way too much me-too marketing, much of it fuelled by the ‘follow me and you’ll be fab’ brigade.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I spend my life encouraging you to be you – in other words, to bring your own authenticity, spirit and downright gloriousness to this online thing.

In the spirit of that, I bucked the trend and offered you something yesterday that no sane marketer (apparently) should make.

If you didn’t see it, the details are at the end of this as I don’t want to interrupt the other goodness beforehand.

Goodness like guidance, bon mots and other brilliance from people who haven’t been afraid to stand out, be themselves and buck and ‘trend’ going…

People who are genuinely, hugely successful.

People I would like you to emulate (note I didn’t say copy).

So let’s focus in on the first of those people and that’s Tim Ferriss…love him or hate him, you have to admit he’s astonishingly successful as well as a maverick.

He’s also generous with sharing some great content, stuff like this – his fear setting exercise which you can learn about here along with his TED talk and the slides from it:

Another thing I love from Tim are the 17 questions that changed his life and could well change yours:

And this from his YouTube channel – how to start a business or podcast from scratch (his podcast is amazing):

Amy Porterfield is the antithesis to Tim Ferriss in many ways but also hugely successful and I love her podcast too.

This latest episode gives you ways to get a quick cash injection:

While this episode is priceless – the 6 list-building questions Amy is asked most often:

And here she has put together a brilliant collection of resources to help you create and sell blockbuster courses:

I’ll be focusing on more real success stories and their actionable advice for you in future emails so stay tuned!

I defy you not to be moved and inspired by this weeks’ TED talk from someone else who lives life on their terms – Sam Berns on his philosophy for a happy life:

As for that offer I told you about at the beginning, that’s a lesson in itself because I did it my way on the fly, as you can too. There isn’t even a sales page for it yet – I just sent an email that said this:

“I wasn’t going to tell you about this until tomorrow…

But I had a change of heart.

I’ve been thinking for a while that the most valuable thing I can offer you is something that’s already working brilliantly for me…

And let you swipe the lot…

While carry on using it too because it’s simply that good.

I’m talking about my very own optin challenge – the one many of you have taken and which skyrocketed my conversion rates.

I’ve decided to offer very limited PLR licenses to it – 50 in total.

That includes all 7 challenge lessons, all 7 emails to promote it and graphics that are pre-done pngs as well as editable Canva versions along with a worksheet and instructions.

You know this works because you can see it working every day for me.

Only catch? There isn’t really one – more of a big opportunity to get in there before everyone else because I haven’t had time to create a sales page yet…

Which means you can get in today and grab one of those licenses or wait until I do and potentially miss out because something like this doesn’t happen very often.

I’ve certainly never offered rights before to something I am still using very successfully but I figured it would help you without me losing out (forget that saturation myth) so…

P.S. It’s an instant download – no logins etc. and obviously no upsells…yet ;-)”

Feel free to try that for yourself – it worked very well for me, proving that you don’t need a fancy sales page etc in spite of what some people will tell you.
