I was talking about engagement earlier this week and how vital it is, especially when many people are Zoomed out.

Videos and webinars are all well and good but I totally understand Zoom fatigue as well as that sense of exhaustion that overcomes you at the thought of ploughing through yet another looooooong module or presentation.

The problem is that it’s a passive experience. Sure, you can chat if it’s live but otherwise it’s just you, your screen and the same old sense of no human contact all over again.

That’s why engaging people in different ways is so important, especially if that means them actually doing stuff as opposed to sitting there passively and probably clicking away.

With that in mind, I’m focusing this week on ways to engage people more in different ways so that they actually listen to what you have to say and interact with you…

Which means they will buy from you because, to them, you are a real, exciting human being who actually go them to DO something.

Let’s look first at perhaps the home of the passive scroll – Instagram.

Now, Instagram has so much potential to engage that it’s a crying shame most people ignore that and just stick to the basics which get them, well, basic results.
