Welcome to your Weekend Takeaways and a special welcome if you are joining us from The Pin Code which I launched today. This is not just a weekly newsletter but a community and it is lovely to have you with us.

As well as launching, I also had to take my daughter to an art exhibition for her schoolwork, drop into China Town to pick up some moon cakes as it was the Moon Festival this week and do all those real life things we all have to juggle along with our work.

I wanted to tell you that so you don’t think that you are alone in trying to keep all those balls in the air! Everything I teach I try and make accessible so that you can incorporate it into the busy lives so many of us lead and make it work for you rather than work around it.

That’s why I love Pinterest so much – I can pin from my phone when I am out and about in just a few seconds and still see stunning results. It is about my favourite platform out there which is why I consider The Pin Code one of my signature courses.

If you get in early on it then congrats because this is going to become one of those high ticket courses I told you about a while back. It’s already had a lot of love and knowledge poured into it and I will be constantly adding to it over the coming weeks and months so stay tuned.

In the meantime, I thought we would look at some excellent resources all about making the most of Pinterest so you can really benefit from all it has to offer.

Let’s start with this as it is so important – why you really need to have a niche (or niches) on Pinterest:

Then there is this on how to use Pinterest for niche research which is something I do all the time:

If you still need to be convinced that Pinterest is one of the most brilliant – and easy – ways to drive traffic then read this:

Creating great Pins is, of course, fundamental to Pinterest success and I teach a lot about that in the Pin Code but you can always learn more so take a look at this:

And then this on optimizing your images:

Advertising on Pinterest is excellent in terms of ROI and there are some great tips in here on how to get sales, especially for physical products:

And Shopify’s take on using Pinterest for ecommerce here is well worth a look:

Pinterest is a place where people go for inspiration, seeking out objects that enhance their lives in one way or another. Your TED talk this week is fascinating as it tells you how our brains work out what is beautiful…is it really all in the eye of the beholder (even digitally)?

You may think I’m nuts sharing a bunch of free stuff with you when I have just launched a course on this very topic but I believe that sharing good information is my duty and role…and that what I have created is very much about what is working for me on Pinterest and how I do it so there is no contradiction.

It’s lovely to share my Sunday with you and have a wonderful week!
