I promised you a tutorial on how to take done for you or white label/PLR content and make the most of it, specifically the DFY Painless Productivity course I created…

And here it is but with the added bonus of being applicable to almost any DFY content as well as to products or courses you create because it is the same process I, and therefore you, follow.

One of the most valuable things about good DFY products is the fact all the guess work is taken out of it for you. The creator has already done the research and created something that particular market really wants so all you have to do is make it your own.

That making it your own starts with some quick additional research because you want to niche it down a little more if you really want to profit from it.

To do that, you head on over to Google and carry out a search using the primary keywords relating to your DFY content, in this case ‘become more productive’ and ‘productivity.’

You then take note especially of any suggested books that come up in the search results as well as the related searches Google also helpfully suggests.

Along with more on how to find what people search for using 28 no cost tools here:

You are doing this to find out what matters most to people about, in this case, productivity so you can angle your new content towards that.

Clicking through on the related books I mentioned earlier also gives you more ideas from Amazon.

Here, you can read the reviews to find out what people loved and hated about these books and my top tip is to read the one and five star reviews to get a real sense of what those things are…then simply use them in your sales copy and in gently tweaking your DFY product to fit.

One of those books mentioned is the 4-Hour Work Week and this is a great example because it shows you how picking a catchy title turns what could be another bland productivity book into a huge bestseller.

That’s what you’re really doing here – looking for a hook that differentiates your DFY product from the rest and makes it stand out so that people buy yours rather than someone else’s. It’s basic advertising wisdom and it always works.

I knew before I wrote a single word of the Painless Productivity course that it was a hugely popular evergreen topic because of books like this – which was published in 2010 and is still a big seller with over 9000 reviews as well as courses like Eben Pagan’s Wake Up Productive!

I remember reading that Eben created it while creating another course because he realised that was what people really wanted.

How?

Because they kept asking him for it.

So your next step in your easy tweaking is to look at courses like his if you are making a DFY course like Painless Productivity your own…or, indeed, to look at similar products or ebooks if that is more relevant.

Now, I already know about Eben’s course and other similar ones but if you have no clue about competing products in a particular market then a great place to start is Udemy.

Here’s a selection of their top productivity courses:

https://www.udemy.com/topic/personal-productivity/

Note that, as it says:

“1,577,812 students are learning Personal Productivity on Udemy”

Further proof, if you needed it, that there is a huge demand for this topic.

What you can also see at Udemy is a selection of the related topics students are also interested in or studying – invaluable when it comes to refining your hook, finding related keyword phrases and positioning your course or product as well as creating additional courses that your students will love.

You can also look at individual related courses you find via your Google searches such as these:

https://e-student.org/best-productivity-courses/

https://ebenpagantraining.com/product/wake-up-productive/

That will also give you a good idea of the wide range of pricing options there are and what a course has to contain to achieve a premium price such as Eben’s at $997.

Wake Up Productive is a 12 week training including videos but there is no reason you can’t take a DFY course such as Painless Productivity and turn it into a premium product by recording the material.

This immediately raises its perceived value and enables you to charge those premium prices.

You can do it easily using PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, cutting and pasting written material and then recording with something like these:

To further add perceived value, change up the graphics for your course or product using something like these:

Don’t forget to use that snappy new title for your product you came up with after your Google and Amazon research and to use graphics that reflect that title.

And that’s all there is to it – really it’s about knowing your market and giving them something with a fresh angle that still makes them salivate.

You find that angle in the ways I suggest above, position your DFY product accordingly and then carry out as many tweaks as you can to add as much value as you can as well as differentiating your course from the rest.

Taking the small amount of time needed to do that will reap so much more for you in terms of sales.

As you can see, you can also apply all of the above to creating your own courses and products from scratch, especially as you can instantly ascertain hungry markets for topics and their related ideas.

So what are you waiting for?

Get going and get bringing in that much-needed moolah.

And if you would like to do with something you know has a huge and very hungry market, Painless Productivity is here:
