It’s been a strange and worrying week for many as Coronavirus has been declared a pandemic and countries put in place various measures.
Obviously, people are deeply concerned not just about their health but also their incomes and the two go hand in hand.
In this week’s newsletter, I’d like to share some ideas on best practices at this time, some ways to stay healthy working from home and some excellent resources you can get for nada and use to help boost your business at this time.
Let’s start with those best practices and I am sure it goes without saying that this is not a time to try to profit from what is an international tragedy. It’s also vital that you acknowledge and address what is happening rather than simply pretend it isn’t when communicating with your customers.
Whenever crises like this occur, those seen to be genuinely helping others through their businesses will be the ones who ultimately benefit in terms of increased goodwill and trust.
If there is something you can do to that effect, say by putting together an offer or giveaway that will help people get through this better then by all means do so.
My yoga teacher, for example, has put on a free ten minute online stretching session each day for those working from home. She is also offering all her classes online rather than in person and at a very reasonable rate.
If there is some way you can translate what is usually an offline offering into an online one in this way then you will ultimately benefit in the long term because you add another income stream to your business.
You can utilise services such as Facebook livestreams, YouTube, Skype, Voxer and Zoom to reach people like this if you are not already doing so.
While yoga is excellent for those working from home, there are plenty of other tips and options to keep you healthy.
I especially like the advice given here because it is particularly applicable:
