It is still brain-meltingly hot here in London but that is no excuse so I have been exercising my grey matter on your behalf…

And come up with a whole bunch of thought and action provoking resources to galvanise you in some places that might surprise you…

On the platforms of the big search engines and social media giants themselves.

Let’s kick off with something you may not be aware of in the world of the big G aka Google. You see, beyond the search engine and things like Google Drive and Gmail there is a whole host of other useful tools especially designed for marketers.

Some of those can be found here where you can, as they say, ‘Inform and strengthen your digital marketing strategies’:

Then there is an excellent selection of reports here covering everything from what you need to know about mobile app users to beverage and skin care trends (both big niches):

Don’t forget the array of courses you can take for nada at Google Digital Garage where you will even get a certificate on completion and can learn anything from search to building an online shop, content marketing and much more

And they even have their Primer app you can download to get bite size business lessons on your phone:

Not to be outdone, Bing has some good resources for you as well including these which will help you understand the customer journey and optimise your funnel as well as give you a downloadable guide to search:

Then there are the big social media platforms which are more than happy to teach you all you need to know to get the most out of them.

Facebook has its Blueprint where you can learn how to use all its marketing tools and get certified (you’re going to be swimming in certificates!):

While LinkedIn has a wide variety of resources including its Sophisticated Marketers Guide to LinkedIn – you can find those here:

Twitter keeps its resources and guides here:

While Instagram has some here as well as a useful blog:

Part of my exercising grey matter involved attending TEDX London and I’ll be sharing those talks with you when they’re up online – in the meantime, try this as a personal challenge:
