As you know, AI is everywhere right now.

But here’s the problem…most people are held back by myths that simply aren’t true.

And if you believe them, you’ll stay stuck.

So in this week’s newsletter. I’m going to bust the big seven that keep people, and especially beginners, broke…and I’ll give you a free tool or resource for each one so you can prove the myth wrong today.

Myth #1: You need to be a techie to profit from AI

Truth: The money is in what you tell it to do, not in coding.

Try this: Open a free account with ChatGPT https://chat.openai.com or

 Google Gemini https://gemini.google.com

Then paste this into the chat:

“Act as my brainstorming partner. Give me 5 digital product ideas for beginners that I could sell this weekend.”

See? Easy.

Myth #2: One magic prompt will make you rich

Truth: A single prompt is like a single Lego brick. You need a system to build something valuable.

Explore Prompt Vibes https://promptvibes.com/ – a free library where you can borrow other people’s prompt “bricks” to start building your own stacks and systems.

Myth #3: AI content will always get flagged as spam

Truth: AI content only feels robotic if you leave it untouched. Editing instantly gives it the human touch.

Try:

Hemingway Editor https://hemingwayapp.com/ – makes content clear and natural.

Undetectable.ai https://undetectable.ai/  (free trial) – polishes text to pass AI filters.

Myth #4: You need expensive software to make anything decent

Truth: Some of the best-selling digital products online are made with free tools.

Free resources:

Canva Free https://www.canva.com

Audacity https://www.audacityteam.org/

Kittl https://www.kittl.com/

Myth #5: AI will replace me

Truth: AI doesn’t replace creators…it multiplies them.

Next time you write, try this in ChatGPT:

“Act as my copywriting coach. Rewrite this paragraph to make it more persuasive, but keep it in my voice.”

Give AI a role and it will work alongside you.

Myth #6: Only gurus can profit with AI

Truth: Beginners can (and do) make sales every single day on Etsy, often with products created in just a few hours using free tools.

Want proof? Go to Etsy Digital Downloads https://www.etsy.com/uk/market/digital_download and filter by “bestsellers.” You’ll find AI-assisted products like planners, worksheets, and coloring pages selling hundreds of copies.

5 Simple Steps to Create and Upload Your First Etsy Digital Product This Weekend…

Step 1: Pick a Profitable Niche

  • Go to Etsy Digital Downloads and search for “printables,” “planners,” or “wall art.”
  • Sort by Bestsellers and look at what’s moving (seasonal products are HOT).

Step 2: Create Your Product in Canva (Free)

  • Start with a US Letter/A4 template.
  • Choose something easy: a 7-day meal planner, a gratitude journal, or a kids’ colouring page.
  • Add your own twist (colour scheme, niche audience, or themed variation).

Step 3: Package It Professionally

  • Save as a PDF for digital delivery.
  • Create a simple mockup using Canva or Kittl (show your product in a styled flat lay).

Step 4: Write Your Etsy Listing with ChatGPT

Prompt example:

“Act as an Etsy seller. Write me a product title, 5 bullet points, and a description for a printable [product]. Focus on benefits and seasonal demand.”

Step 5: Upload & Go Live

  • Open an Etsy account (first listing is free).
  • Upload your PDF + mockup images.
  • Set a beginner-friendly price (e.g., $3.95–$5.95).

Give yourself a pat on the back!

Oh and here’s my secret first-sale trick…

After your listing goes live, share your product link inside a free Facebook group or send it to a few friends/family members. Getting those first 1-3 sales helps Etsy’s algorithm boost your visibility.

Myth #7: AI is too overwhelming to start

Truth: Overwhelm comes from trying to do everything at once. You only need one small project to get momentum.

Notion https://www.notion.so/ is a  free project planner. Create a page called “AI Projects” and list just ONE idea you’ll test this week.

AI isn’t a magic ATM. It’s a multiplier of whatever systems you put around it.

For now, try at least one of the tools I shared above and prove a myth wrong today.

Your TED Talk this week is on how to get empowered, not overpowered, by AI…

Talking of empowerment, I’m delighted to tell you that my broken hand is mending – I now have a fetching ninja brace instead of a cast… And I feel so freed up by that, I’m finishing something really special for you I’ve been quietly creating. More on that soon.
