What a week! Thanksgiving for those of you who celebrate it and Black Friday for everyone whether you liked it or not.

Don’t know about you but I took one look at the blizzard of emails, ads, shiny offers and supposed discounts and turned everything off. That’s right – the TV, my inbox. Everything.

From what I could see, there was very little that was worthy of being called a real ‘bargain’ and an awful lot that was simply dross.

I mailed you the few things I thought worth a look and quite deliberately went quiet because I decided you were probably suffering the same insane overwhelm as me.

So yes, I know I promised a couple of Black Friday events of my own and you will still get those…only they will be called something else (like The Thank Goodness It’s Not Black Friday Sale) and will actually offer real value…

Which is what I am also aiming to do here although, as you know, this newsletter is filled with things that don’t cost you a bean.

Let’s start with some really interesting stuff about the evolution in live video marketing and how 360 and VR will soon be the name of the game. Yep, you heard it here first – well, not quite here but here with the excellent Joel Comm:

Love that 360 video thing?

Here’s how to make your own:

While you can get some 360 footage for nada here as well as access excellent no cost tutorials:

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of The Journey – the behind the scenes series looking behind the scenes at a growing business.

This episode may well strike a chord with you because it’s all about what to do when you’re not making as many sales as you want:

Ever thought of marketing via FB Messenger? I see surprisingly few people using it and yet it’s one of the best and fastest ways to reach people who will actually open your message…few of us can resist that ping signalling a new one arriving!

If you have no idea how to get started with that, take a look at this:

While here are four more ideas on how to use FB Messenger ads effectively:

And if you thought Messenger was just for, well, messages…think again. Here are 10 things you probably didn’t know you could do with the app:

In a week where almost every company on the planet tried to manipulate us into buying their BF stuff, your TED talk is highly relevant – it’s on how Amazon, Google, Apple and FB manipulate our emotions:

If you didn’t see my emails this week, then in the spirit of Thanksgiving I’d like to thank you for being here as a member of our community (at least, that’s how I think of you).

It’s a pleasure to have you and have a wonderful week!
