Aloha and welcome to this Weekend’s Takeaways!

An especially big hello to those of you joining us via The eCash Generator – it’s great to have you along and I hope you enjoy my newsletter which rounds up whatever I’ve found that is fresh, fab and free on the web.

Apart from the launch of The eCash Generator (did I mention it got WSO Of The Day?!) I was also busy planting trees in tubs for our annual treasure trail as I taught in The Edge.

Here’s a pic for those of you who’d like to admire my efforts:

Now on to this week’s takeaways, kicking off with a great Mashable post on StumbleUpon for Beginners.

If you don’t use it already, StumbleUpon is a great way to not only discover new content but promote your own – perfect for ecourse creators as well as all kinds of other marketers!

You can check that one out here:

Next up is this piece on 27 tips for reputation management on social media – very useful for the offline consultants among you but also something we should all bear in mind:

On to this week’s free Kindle suggestions and I have to admit I delved into the first one simply because the title struck me as a little odd:

“PHP Programming For Affiliate Marketers”

Not something the average affiliate marketer thinks about every day…

Actually, this is a good crash course on the topic and one that will enable you to automate all kinds of affiliate tasks as well as start to acquire a truly useful skill:

I’m really enjoying Nicole Dean’s Kindle books and she typically seems to release her latest for free for a short time – this one is a meaty transcribed conversation with Lain Ehmann who made her fortune through the scrapbooking industry and whose tips are pertinent for all marketers:

Now on to my free resource of the week and that’s Kurrently  – something I already shared with eCash Generator students but which I know will be of use to you all as it’s a real-time social media search engine that encompasses Twitter, Facebook and Google+ so you can find out what’s being said right now about any topic.

Great for testing trends, conducting niche research, discovering what’s being said about your brand and unearthing a heap of great content:

Finally, as we’re on an elearning curve this week, I’ve come across Udacity, a site which offers a smallish but perfectly formed selection of courses with an online tech bent.  You can choose from ‘How To Build A Web Startup’ to ‘Web Development’ among the beautifully organised and presented offerings:
