Hey there and welcome to your Weekend Takeaways!
We’re early this week because I’m launching my new product, Income Blast Off, tomorrow (Sunday 16th February).
More on that at the end of this post but let’s crack on with your freebie tips and training.
This week I’m focusing primarily on how to make more moolah from your websites in all sorts of ways.
First up, here’s the fabulous Corbett Barr on how to make more money from your website with less traffic. Although this was written a while back, the advice is evergreen:
Conversions, as we all know, mean increased revenue in the form of increased sales or actions that lead to sales. Here’s an excellent piece on ten ways to increase your website conversions:
Design is an important aspect of that improved conversion process – perhaps more than some of you realise. Read this for some useful tips:
And this for more valuable advice:
Francis Teo produces the highly informative Conversions Podcast and his most recent episode is particularly intriguing:
You might want to check out some of the other podcasts on his site – all of which give real insights into the often alchemical process that results in higher conversions.
Marketing Optimization is another site full of great tips to increase your conversions and this video makes for great viewing – I also like the handy summary of key points below it as well as the link to the free Landing Page Optimization Guide (LPO). Do check that one out!
With regards to last week’s Kindle freebie, Gaurav kindly wrote to suggest a better version of The Science of Getting Rich. This is a PDF rather than for Kindle and you can download it here:
Moving on to this week’s Kindle freebie and this is a short (18 pages) but powerful book on how successful people think and behave. As modelling successful actions and the attitudes that led to them is one proven way to achieve more, I think this is well worth a read…
But don’t just take my word for it – here’s what one reviewer had to say:
“This book is a hidden gem! It encompasses the most relevant advice I’ve found in a while. The author does a great job putting together several life changing habits shared by successful people around the globe, presenting them in a clear, precise, down to earth way. I highly encourage you to read this book!”
And here’s the book:
For your TED talk this week, I’ve chosen one by Alain de Botton who lives not too far from me in London had, since this talk, has started the highly successful School of Life, http://www.theschooloflife.com.
This is him on a kinder, gentler philosophy of success…it worked for him!
