Free Inbound Marketing Tools & A Healthy Dose Of Inspiration

This week I’m focusing on free inbound marketing tools as that is what Magnetic Marketing is all about and this is of immense benefit to you all.

First up is the extremely useful Wappalyzer browser extension that enables you to inspect almost any website to see what technologies it’s using.

It detects the content management systems, web shops and analytics tools a site is using and much more – invaluable if you are inspecting a client or prospect’s site or even a rival’s :-)

Another brilliant tool is Ubersuggest which is ‘keyword selection on steroids.’ Get all thousands of keyword suggestions from real Google user queries and all for absolutely nada:

I’ve mentioned HootSuite before but it’s worth another shout for its superb selection of tools in its free version. A must have for offliners and onliners alike…you’ll wonder how you ever managed your social media marketing without it:

Great content lies at the heart of inbound marketing and, as I teach in Magnetic Marketing, having a blog is essential to establish that human touch and interaction which is so vital these days.

I know that some of you struggle to write those frequent blog posts so here is an excellent piece to help you:

OK, let’s move on to this week’s Kindle freebie and it’s one that is another essential for all marketers as it’s all about LinkedIn.

Increasingly, LinkedIn is the platform of choice for serious business people and it’s one of my fave places to network.

It’s also a seriously good idea to link to your site (or your client’s site) from your LinkedIn profile…you earn Google love and boost your SEO as well as your brand.

This book is a good read and gives you the 15 steps to optimizing your LinkedIn profile for success:

This week’s TED talk is a hugely popular one that will take you less than 6 minutes to watch but will prove immensely inspiring:
