So I’m sitting in London waiting for a huge storm to hit and typing this to you all in the meantime.

As everyone’s predicting floods, fallen trees and chaos everywhere, I decided the only thing to do was whip up my own version of fish ‘n’ chips for lunch.

Yes, I know we had that last week (and we do eat other stuff, honestly!) but this was homemade and therefore special. It turned out so well I thought I’d share the recipe I used with you, complete with beer batter:

I’m going to risk getting emails from disgruntled mushy pea lovers and say we just stuck with the nice, unmushy variety but if you need a fish & chip fix, Jamie’s recipe is fab!

On with the show and thank you for all your lovely emails about the security plugin I suggested. If you missed it, you can get the all singing, all dancing, all free Bullet Proof Security here:

With the focus firmly on security in the wake of the Warrior Forum going down in a flurry of malware, here are some other freebies I found for you…

First up is an excellent piece from Problogger on securing your WordPress sites:

There’s another good article on securing all kinds of sites on the Hostgator blog here:

For those of you who would like to lowdown on the best free antivirus programs out there, check this out:

Security aside, it’s getting dark out there now the clocks have gone back (for us, anyway) so I decided to seek out some new sources of inspiration for you.

One I’ve loved for a long time is the Creativity Portal – brilliant for kickstarting all kinds of projects:

Inspiration Peak is another site that has been around for a long time and inspired millions. Not the prettiest site but so much here:

This week’s Kindle freebie is Secrets of a Master Closer: A Simpler, Faster Way To Sell Anything to Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere…need I say more?

Finally, this week’s TED talk is a wonderful contribution by Coach John Wooden (www.coachwooden.com) on the difference between winning and success:
